Required for structural work such as new buildings, room additions, and remodels. These projects go through plan check before a permit is issued, and for single-family homes Planning pre-screening must be completed first or the application is voided.
Timeline: Regular plan check takes about 8-10 weeks from the date plan check fees are paid, per the City of Glendale; complex projects can take longer.
