Before issuance LADBS

What does “Additional Fees Due” mean on a building permit?

Also shown as: Additional Fees Due / Paid (LADBS)

Extra plan check or permit fees are required before your LADBS permit can proceed. 'Additional Fees Due' means the city calculated supplemental fees (beyond the initial plan check fees) that must be paid; 'Additional Fees Paid' confirms they are settled. This often appears when scope changes, extra disciplines, or surcharges are added during review.

What should you do when a permit shows “Additional Fees Due”?

Pay the additional fees through the portal so the permit can continue toward issuance. Until they are paid the record stalls at this step. After payment, expect movement toward 'Ready to Issue' and 'Issued'.
