What does “Fees Paid” mean on a building permit?

Also shown as: Fees Paid (Accela / South Pasadena)PC Fees Paid (LADBS)Additional Fees Paid (LADBS)

Your invoiced fees have been received and the permit can continue processing. On South Pasadena's Accela portal, 'Fees Paid' explicitly means payment was received and review begins or continues. At LADBS, 'PC Fees Paid' / 'Additional Fees Paid' confirm the corresponding plan check or additional fees are settled.

What should you do when a permit shows “Fees Paid”?

No action is needed from you at this step — the city now moves the application forward into the review queue or the next processing stage. Watch for the status to change to 'In Review' / 'Plan Review' (plan check beginning) or, if all reviews are already done, toward issuance.
