What does “Plan Check Corrections Required” mean on a building permit?

The plan checker reviewed your drawings and found code-compliance issues you must fix before the permit can move forward. On Accela portals (San Diego, San Bernardino) this is 'Corrections Required' — the reviewer found issues and you need to revise and resubmit. At LADBS, corrections are issued as correction notices ('Corrections Issued'); after you resubmit, the status becomes 'Recheck' while the plans are re-reviewed. EPIC-LA surfaces the equivalent as 'Waiting for Applicant'.

What should you do when a permit shows “Plan Check Corrections Required”?

Download the correction list (or 'Cycle Issues Report'), revise your plans to address every item, and resubmit through the portal. On San Diego DSD and SB County, resubmittals are all-or-nothing: you must consolidate corrections from every reviewing discipline into a single package and cannot resubmit to disciplines individually. After resubmittal the status moves to 'Recheck' / 'Verifications in Progress' while the city re-reviews. Getting plans right on the first pass saves real money — additional correction cycles often cost additional plan-review fees.
